Occupational Therapy: Our occupational therapist, Alicia Hansen, focuses on specifically pain management and helping individuals cope with chronic or acute pain while maintaining or improving their ability to engage in everyday activities. What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction and improve whole-body health and performance. By gently working with the soft tissues of the body, CranioSacral Therapy releases restrictions around the brain and spinal cord, allowing the body to self-correct and free itself of pain, dysfunction and negative patterns.

CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and it’s effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and discomfort.

What is Myofascial Release Therapy?

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. The fascia surrounds and supports all the structures of the body down to the cellular level. Therefore, even the the techniques may feel quite mild, this approach can have profound effects.
